Soul Midwife
I was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in 2010 and began chaplaincy, spiritual listening and ceremony work. In 2023 I qualified as a Soul Midwife, offering holistic and spiritual companionship to the dying to lovingly ensure their death is a peaceful experience. This also involves supporting their families and carers through these challenging times of change.

After over thirty years of working in education and educational retail, Jude trained as a Soul Midwife in 2013, and has since continued to work alongside families, Care Agencies, GPs, District Nurses and Hospice at Home to support those at end of life who wish to die at home.
Having also been a carer for many years, Jude is passionate about sharing our Soul Midwives TLC (Tender Loving Care) courses with other carers and care givers. She is equally passionate about raising awareness of the hugely positive contribution Soul Midwives can make to End of Life care.
Jude is based in Perthshire and is happy to work in person, and remotely via Zoom, video or phone call, to give talks on Soul Midwifery and to provide information and advice on the days after death as part of Pushing Up The Daisies’ Daisy Chain network.
Jude is the Mentor for Soul Midwives in Scotland.

Reverend Rachel Cheer works as an Ordained Celebrant, Soul Midwife and Shamanic Practitioner.
She has been fascinated with all rites of passage, especially death, since she was a child.
Having worked for over a decade for a children’s hospice charity, Rachel felt called, in 2019, to work independently with death and dying and started her own business called Hope Ceremonies.
From the first instant that Rachel heard the term Soul Midwife, end of life practitioner, it became her dream to train and work as one.
She feels blessed to have found Felicity Warner’s Soul Midwife School and complete her training and gone on to share these skills within the community.

I have spent 9 years working in Palliative Care at a local hospice.
As a Soul Midwife I offer non medical holistic companionship, as well as guidance and support to the dying to help them to have a peaceful death.
At No-one Dies Alone Lanarkshire we train volunteers to offer companionship and support to those who have a palliative diagnosis and we offer support by keeping a loving vigil at their beside when they are at end of life.
We also host a grief café and a carers drop in at our hub in South Lanarkshire.
We provide TLC training for our volunteers, community groups, social care and nursing home staff and we can provide both online & telephone support if required.
