I was sent this email a couple of years ago, when I was running The Soul Midwives Shop, and later found out that it was one of my wonderful Soul Midwife colleagues, Jean, who had offered this support to Tracey and to her sister. With huge thanks to Tracey for her permission to share her story.
My dear dad recently passed over June 5th, at a hospice in Scunthorpe.
One of the nurses who attended him seemed to have a warm glow about her. At the time I couldn’t put my finger on it, she had only been at work on the last day of his life.
She spent the afternoon and evening with us, and asked us if we wanted her to stay… she did, until his last breath with my sister and myself… so surreal to us, and heartbreaking…
We found out afterwards that she was a Soul Midwife, which I had not heard about previously.
I am so glad she was with us, she lit an oil diffuser and dimmed the lights – she was so calm and warm towards us.
I now feel I want to read more into this – thank you.
Tracey
